Equally at home on the concert and opera stages, soprano Carolyn Sampson has enjoyed notable successes in the UK, as well as throughout Europe and the US. She has appeared with English National Opera, Glyndebourne Festival Opera, Scottish Opera, Opéra de Paris, Opéra de Lille, Opéra de Montpellier and Opéra National du Rhin. Concert engagements have included regular appearances at the BBC Proms, and with orchestras including the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Hallé, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Bergen Philharmonic, Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonic, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Boston, Cincinnati, Detroit, and San Francisco Symphonies, and the Minnesota and Philadelphia Orchestras. She is a consummate recitalist, appearing regularly at Wigmore Hall, where she was a featured artist in the 2014/15 season.

Covent Garden Sinfonia is firmly established as one of London’s most dynamic and versatile chamber orchestras. Resident at the famous Actors’ Church, St Paul’s in Covent Garden, the orchestra performs regularly at London’s leading concert venues, and has a number of acclaimed recordings to its name. Ben Palmer, the orchestra’s Founder and Artistic Director, also holds the position of Chief Conductor with the Deutsche Philharmonie Merck in Darmstadt, and is in demand as a guest conductor with such orchestras as the Hallé, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, NDR Radiophilharmonie, Hong Kong Philharmonic, St Petersburg Symphony Orchestra, and the BBC orchestras.
